“All you need is love, love is all you need.”

Those were the words of the famous Beatles song. Apparently love can conquer all, they said. I wonder if any of them ever found such a wonderful person that makes your skin tingle, that you see her as the mother of your unborn children, because you know she’ll be the best at it. I wonder if they ever met such a person, whose situation made them fight, lose, and wait and fight again, really thinking love can conquer all; that different values, ways of thinking, moral standards and other insignificant differences wouldn’t matter, because all they needed was love. Because it would be the easiest thing in the world to change who you are, the way you think and see things, for this other person you say you love.

I wonder…

All I know is that I was in love with her, and saw her as ‘The one’. All I know is that she made me happy in so many ways, and I failed to understand her in so many others. That love couldn’t bring us to a point where we could be at peace, because in reality we wanted two entirely different things in the other person, that we managed to not see this amazing being right in front of us.

All I know is that the Beatles once said that all you need is love, and I just proved them wrong…
