The logical choice

When any problem arises in our daily life, God knows there is always a solution, maybe even more than one. For example there is always the easy way out for the lazy and the cowards; like cheating on a test to get a passing grade, or breaking up with someone over the phone or email just to make the job easier.

Among many similar ways to solve a problem, there is one that always seems to be the best path to take, but we know that even as we feel it in our gut it’s the best solution, sometimes we hesitate to walk that path and go with it, either because we’re afraid of the consequences or we know it will instantly hurt us in a way, even though it’s the best thing for us on the long run. Some call this the “logical choice”.

I once heard that matters of the heart never had much room for logic, and I guess it must be true since the stupidities people do related to love, usually aren’t thought and planned as well as they should be. But why is it so hard to pick the “logical choice”, when we know it’s the right thing to do?
