Friends don’t let friends drink and dial
A good friend is always there for us. Good friends prevent us from doing things we might regret later on in life, or even so, they might encourage us to do those very same stupid things, but then be there to pick up the pieces they knew they would have to since the beginning. Either way, we consider ourselves good friends too right? We are the ones who stop our friends when they’re half drunk about to dial their ex, or send that nasty email to their boss, or even go to the extreme of bitchslapping them in the face when they are down and depressed about something stupid.
And what about us? What do we do for ourselves? Ever wondered that?
The easiest analogy I ever heard was this:
“So when your friend is down because his girlfriend dumped him, what do you say to him?… and if so, would you say the same thing to yourself if your girlfriend dumped you? So are you not as good as friend to yourself as you are to this guy?”
Think about it.
