Freakonomics – The cost of money 0

So, I got asked not long ago something everyone asks out loud at some point in his or her life.

“Why does everything have to cost money?” – This very dear person asked.

Evidently this question is always held in a rhetorical form as most of us think we know the answer or at least have a vague idea of what to respond when asked that. I in turn, so I wouldn’t sound brainless, jumped the Google wagon for help and the first search result I found gave me a most explicit answer that made me appreciate the question in a very unique way:

When any problem arises in our daily life, God knows there is always a solution, maybe even more than one. For example there is always the easy way out for the lazy and the cowards; like cheating on a test to get a passing grade, or breaking up with someone over the phone or email just to make the job easier.

Friends don’t let friends drink and dial 0

A good friend is always there for us. Good friends prevent us from doing things we might regret later on in life, or even so, they might encourage us to do those very same stupid things, but then be there to pick up the pieces they knew they would have to since the beginning. Either way, we consider ourselves good friends too right? We are the ones who stop our friends when they’re half drunk about to dial their ex, or send that nasty email to their boss, or even go to the extreme of bitchslapping them in the face when they are down and depressed about something stupid.
