Anti-heroes

Hero: I see the brave, shinning, world of tomorrow!
Anti-hero: You must be delusional… And your cape’s on backwards.

A flawed hero, therefore, much more interesting then the more traditional heroes. Everybody has had one, right? Or two or three maybe.

These type of heroes are completely different than what we’re looking for, for whatever reasons. They can be can be callous, pathetic, or mean but somehow we end up being captured by their charm. They don’t necessarily have to be bad people, they can be nice; only we know in our gut that we’re not meant to be with them, that they’re not at all what we’re looking for, yet we can’t help to find them utterly intriguing.

I’ve recently felt in this predicament myself; this pretty little rockstar is someone I wouldn’t normally fall for. Tattoos, weird placed piercings, and love for rock music are not in my top ten list when noticing a girl, yet I find this one in particular quite fascinating sometimes. Other than the great closeness and affection we got for each other, very few things keep us in common, but she has understood me like nobody else here.

She’s my anti-hero.
